Artist bio and Statement

Hi, I’m Brian and I was born in St. Louis, MO. I enjoy painting, making music, and listening to blues and rap. I really like hardcore rap like TI and T-Pain. I also enjoy watching the St. Louis Cardinals, movies, and wrestling on TV. My favorite activities at Fine Line Studios are writing to my e-buddy and visiting the St. Louis Artists’ Guild. My favorite art is creating drip paintings. I like to use light and dark colors to create interesting pieces. My paintings are usually made from diluted acrylic paint. I add water to make flow formations that resemble trees, flowers, or whatever the artwork wants to reveal.  During my time here I've learned how to paint and how paint behaves when water is added and applied to a canvas. Each painting is special to me and has a different message to tell. The purpose of my work is to make people happy. By creating this series I am able to share my story, and when people see my art I want them to walk away thinking about life and to leave them with a feeling of happiness.
