Elizabeth Mayuku

Artist Statement

Whenever I make art, I am usually watching or thinking about my favorite anime and fairy tales. I like to work on paintings and stories that feature my favorite cartoon characters in classic fairy tales. Making my art makes me feel special and I hope people feel good when they see my art or read my stories. I like to use acrylic paint most often, but I experiment with other mediums like jewelry and ceramics as well.

I am a storyteller in my art and I aspire to become an animator like some of my idols—Don Bluth, Hayao Miyazaki, and Walt Disney.
